Chrisie,

These are photos from Andaz Wailea. It took two trips (winter 2023, spring 2024) to shoot all of the room categories. The property has two wings and ground floor villas. Sections of the resort were renovated one at a time.

My photographs are different from other architectural photographers because of the way I use lighting. I setup lights at the windows to "push" more sunlight into the room. This creates dimension and shadows- it draws the viewer into the photo and creates a more authentic experience. The light quality is soft and feels comfortable, even though details are sharp and defined. This type of lighting creates a sense of luxury.

Another difference is how I style the rooms. We bring our own pillows and pillowcases. We steam sheets and curtains. Having perfect beds (without them looking photoshopped) is critically important!

My work is about 70% architecture and 30% lifestyle. I'm approved by corporate to shoot both.

I travel for assignments 10-12 times a year. Commuting to Albuquerque wouldn't be an issue.
